Retreats and Journeys of Spiritual Growth & Healing

The Mission Foundation

"Let us more and more insist on raising funds
of love, of kindness,
of understanding, of peace.
The rest will be given."
~ Mother Teresa of Calcutta

THE MISSION FOUNDATION became my Path of the Feather through my love of this land of the southwest, my strong community with the Native American people, my own spirit's understanding and familiar sense of ancient traditions, and my deep and profound respect for the sacred culture of the native people. Most of all, it is a path where my heart is called to give with love and humility of spirit.

My work in Native American giving evolved from my time spent over the years on the native pueblos and sacred lands of the southwest. I became passionate about helping to improve the quality of life and economic development on the Native American reservations. I was very familiar with significant funding and various programs to improve housing and support the quality of life in our nation's inner cities. But I felt the same energy and visibility in giving programs for Native Americans was absent. Individual volunteerism evolved to founding THE MISSION FOUNDATION as a way to plant the seeds of kindness, understanding, and peace.

Events

Our work here has grown so much over time. We started with small food, clothing, and monetary donations. Now we sponsor community events, Native American venues, housing and sacred land projects, training and education on and off the reservations, and have now expanded our work in the southwest to include nationwide programs for all Native American tribes.

So what does it have to do with the healing work of SACRED MESA?
SACRED MESA is an initiative of THE MISSION FOUNDATION that provides programs in healing, spiritual growth, personal development. Through our own healing and growth, we walk The Path of the Feather and give back to the circle of life.
